Mixed Reality Archive

Architectural space for Mixed Reality content

Using current technologies and machine vision concept we have developed a new architectural language which accommodates the means of a contemporary archive. Space was designed by wrapping geometry with a single surface in the same way as machines generate meshes through photogrammetry and other scanning techniques. A single surface gradient is applied varying from voxalated to smooth in order to accommodate different content of the archive: digital and physical.

The wall organisation is developed in a way that everything hosts functions. The voxels at the lower level act as an interactive storage and furniture, the middle level becomes storage for smaller items and a series of trackers and the higher level becomes a space for AR content. The architecture is encouraging people to interact with the space, technology and other people and explore the hidden pockets inside the building.
